McCarran International Airport is the main commercial airport for the Valley and Clark County, Nevada, United States. It is about 5 miles (8.0 km) south of downtown Las Vegas, in the unincorporated area of Paradise in Clark County. The University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, part of the University of Nevada system, is a teaching hospital with an emphasis on pulmonary and cardiac disease; it has grown to national prominence in cardiovascular diseases.</div>
